Sit back and relax

We all need time to sit back and relax, right? We all think, "If I only had the time to just sit for 10 minutes." I know I used to think that. Well, my wish was granted! I broke my ankle in three places two days before Christmas, had surgery and a plate with five screws into one of my ankle bones, and STRICT orders to lay down with my leg up for six weeks! HA HA! Don't these doctors know that I am a mommy? We don't get to lay down!

Seriously though...I am going nuts. I am not a sitter. It depresses me to be still for too long and I really think God knew that maybe I really needed to just sit and think about why I keep myself so insanely busy. I think he wants to me take a step back, take a deep breath and chill....and now I have no choice! So, here I sit.

Took the kids skiing this week. They are enjoying it and I have just transferred couches. It is fun to all be together. Happy New Year to all my friends and loved ones near and far.

Angels among us

My dad died about 10 years ago. I still miss him and think of him often. I do wonder what he would have thought of my children and if age would have changed him a bit. Anyway, last night as I was putting Molly to bed I was singing "Silent Night" and leaning next to her crib. She interrupted me and said, "Mommy, Angel!" I said, "Where?" And she pointed up to the ceiling and said, "Hi Angel." I do believe she was seeing someone. Maybe my Dad, maybe my Grandfather, maybe her Papa (Michael's Dad), I don't know. It was awesome.

Welcome

So, after seeing all the people in the world who have Blogs, I thought why not me? So, this will be a way for me to share my life experiences with my beautiful children and husband. I have been so blessed. I have three children, Liam (9), Aidan (5), and Molly Rose (2). I would love to have one more baby but not sure if my husband will get on board with that idea!
